FAQ
The things clients and candidates ask first.
If your question isn't here, email info@acclero.co and a real person will answer the same day.
Hiring through Acclero
How is this different from a recruitment agency?+
Agencies are paid to place a resume. We are paid when the hire works out. We start from the business context rather than a keyword list, validate every candidate on five things before you meet them, and stay accountable for 90 days after joining.
What roles do you focus on?+
Forward Deployed Engineers are our flagship, alongside the specialist roles around them: solution architects, data & platform engineers, cybersecurity and cryptography specialists, AI/ML engineers and Workday analysts. We are built for roles where a slow or wrong hire is expensive, not for bulk hiring.
How can you return a shortlist so fast?+
Because most of the search already happened. We prepare Forward Deployed Engineers months ahead of demand, so at any time we have hundreds of trained, checked candidates ready. When your requirement lands, we choose from that pool instead of starting from a job post. A validated shortlist usually comes back in days.
What if the hire doesn't work out?+
Half of our fee is held until the candidate completes 90 productive days. If they leave early or don't work out inside the agreed window, replacing them is our cost, not yours.
Do we need to use any software?+
No. Kairos, our platform, runs on our side. Everything you touch is email and the conversations you already have. You get a faster, clearer, better-documented result.
How we prepare candidates
How do you prepare candidates before they join?+
Every candidate goes through a learning path built for them. We map them on the Ikigai scale (craft, context, market and drive), find the circle they are thin on, and close that gap before they meet a client. They also get context on your business, workflow and the ownership expected, so they can start fast.
What is the three to six month learning path?+
It is the runway we give an engineer to become a full Forward Deployed Engineer. We identify people with strong foundations, then spend three to six months closing their gaps: production skills, AI and data depth, customer context, and the habit of owning outcomes. They finish the path ready to deploy, not learning on your time.
What is the Ikigai scale?+
It scores a Forward Deployed Engineer on the four things the role needs: what they are great at (craft), what the customer needs (context), what the market pays for (market), and what drives them (drive). The best FDEs sit where all four meet. We use the same scale to evaluate candidates and to decide what each person still needs to learn. See the Ikigai scale →
Do your candidates train while still employed elsewhere?+
Yes. Most people on our learning path are still in their current jobs. They work with us in the background, on their own time, until the fit and the timing are right. When they join you, they are prepared rather than freshly poached and hoping to catch up.
